Daily Transits
These three PDFs contain 744 objects including the Sun, Moon and planets, and a few of the hundreds of thousands of asteroids, centaurs, TNOs and comets discovered to date (Total = 1,459,411, excluding comet fragments). These few are calculated daily for Noon Greenwich positions using the gold-standard JPL Horizons API - the most accurate and precise calculations in the world!
We include the retrieval date (usually a day or two before publication), the Classification, Object Name, ID, RA, DEC, Ecliptic LON and LAT, Galactic LON and LAT, and Rx status. The Declination sort with red highlights indicating “out-of-bounds” (OOB) objects is based upon the current true obliquity of the ecliptic.
Very few astrologers are familiar with Galactic LON and LAT and the importance of this perspective in analyzing and interpreting charts. Our beloved astrology programs simply do not calculate these coordinates - hence no awareness probably that there is another perspective. We’ve found Galactic positions to be highly significant, but that revelation comes obviously through many calculations, tabulated transits and analyses.
We are open to subscriber suggestions of additional objects. We began providing this gratuitous service on March 9, 2025, with 736 total objects curated from many years of using asteroids and other objects. On March 10 we added six that were suggested, and on March 20 a couple more. A few Personal-named asteroids (PNAs) are included, but the majority are the Mythic-named asteroids (MNAs) - like those named for deities and mythic figures as are our planets. We prefer the latter but will occasionally include a PNA, especially if named after a character trait or a prominent geographic location.
Feel free to visit this section daily, download the PDFs, share with others, and join the journey in implementing these correctly calculated celestial messengers into your charts!
